Riot Games Cracks Down – Player Sanctions Following Racist Remarks Against Rex Regum Qeon’s fl1pzjder and TenTen
Following a thorough two-week investigation, sanctions have been imposed on two prominent eSports players, TenTen and fl1pzjder, for allegations of racial remarks made in an APAC-ranked match.
Investigation and Sanctions
After reports of racial remarks made during an APAC-ranked match, Riot Games conducted a two-week investigation. The findings led to disciplinary measures against former NORTHEPTION player TenTen and Rex Regum Qeon’s Saibani “fl1pzjder” Rahmad.
The Implications
“Effective immediately, TenTen will be suspended for the next four VCT matches, while fl1pzjder has been issued an official warning letter,” the official statement from Riot read. They emphasized that any future misdemeanors will result in further penalties.
Apologies and Consequences
TenTen has issued a public apology on Twitter, admitting to his wrongdoing. Rex Regum Qeon and fl1pzjder have also separately issued apologies. Should another team choose to sign TenTen, he will not be able to participate in the next four matches due to the sanctions.
