1. Water
Pros: | Cons: |
✅ UltraMax water dispenser is made without BPA ✅ can hold 27 cups of water ✅ replace 1,800 single-use plastic water bottles a year ✅ water filter reducing chlorine ✅ replace your Elite filter after 120 gallons |
❌ hilghly cost ❌ filter needs replacement |
Yes, water might not be the most glorious drink from the bunch, but I would suggest having a bottle sitting around at all times. This cost-efficient liquid is the best thing you can do for yourself as a gamer. It has a number of proven advantages, with the most notable being the reduction of brain fog.
Now, as a competitive gamer, the thing I care the most about is efficiency. I want everything optimized for my grind. I might be a snob, but I like having a water dispenser such as Brita around. Costing around $37, this dispenser is relatively inexpensive and convenient.
Right next to my water, is often a cup of coffee with milk and sugar. It’s important to be hydrated before you start drinking coffee. However, once I drink a big glass or two of water–coffee is not far behind when I begin gaming.
2. Potato Chips
Pros: | Cons: |
✅ satisfies your snack craving ✅ grab a cup at game time ✅ enjoy a stack at the office ✅ packaged in a 19.3-oz box containing 9, 0.67-ounce cups ✅ always tasty, never greasy |
❌ highly cost ❌ leaves a trace on the hands |
Everyone who has ever gamed knows that potato chips are the most superior gaming snack known to humankind. The scientists will tell you it is due to high-fat content and salt, but I will tell you it is because they simply taste good. The options are nearly endless, and there are plenty of flavors for everyone’s taste.
If you are looking for recommendations, I have a few good ones in my mind. The general best recommendation would be Pringles. Having a couple of cups standing around makes for a great gaming experience.
I might sound like a shill for Pringles, but it is genuinely the chips I enjoy the most. It has a nice texture, is extra crispy, and it literally melts in the mouth. From time to time, I will also have Doritos.
I find Doritos perfect to break my regular routine of eating Pringles. They are a little higher in fat content, and they will make you feel full faster. I am not sure It is necessary to describe Doritos further since you have probably tried it.
3. Cold Drinks
Pros: | Cons: |
✅ formula contains high quality ingredients ✅ Caffeine, Taurine, some B-group Vitamins and Sugars ✅ case of twelve (12 pack) 16 FL OZ Red Bull Energy Drink cans ✅ cans are made of 100% recyclable aluminium ✅ only 5 calories per each red bull sugar free |
❌ highly cost ❌ not healthy for daily use |
We have mentioned water already, and despite it being healthy and, well, necessary for survival, there are much more superior drinks in terms of taste. This is where my favorite gaming beverage snack comes in, Cola.
There are plenty of Cola’s out there, and many of them will do. Call me an NPC, but my favorite one is Coca-Cola. It is accessible everywhere you go, and it simply has a great consistent taste.
Now, do not get me wrong, I am not against Pepsi either. Having a pack of 10 Pepsi lying around is always good. Every now and then, I will drink a can simply because drinking Coca-Cola gets boring. Also, having some Pepsi stockpiled can not hurt since you will always have a guest that prefers it over anything.
4. Pizza
Pros: | Cons: |
✅ contains twelve (12) 6.3-ounce bags of COMBOS Cheddar Pepperoni Pizza Cracker Baked Snacks ✅ made with actual cheese ✅ satisfying and delicious on-the-go snack ✅ each individual serving contains 140 calories ✅ delicious snack |
❌ unhealthy ❌ high calories intake |
Whether you are gaming alone or with friends, a choice that will never become outdated is Pizza. This snack was consumed by ancient Egyptians, Romans, and Greeks, and it is still trending as ever.
Pizza is somewhat of a more expensive choice, but there is hardly a better way to honor a good gaming session. It is high in calories, it will satiate your hunger, and it tastes heavenly good.
5. Donuts
Pros: | Cons: |
✅ delicious and quick way to make donuts ✅ make fresh donuts at home ✅ garnish with chocolate and nuts ✅ eat fresh donuts while gaming ✅ warm fresh donuts |
❌ slightly greasy ❌ high calories intake |
I might have been slightly biased by covering mostly options high in salt, but here is one for those who enjoy a little more sugar content. As you might have guessed by the heading, I am speaking about Donuts, the leader of sugary gaming snacks.
Donuts are great because they are accessible. You can find them in every bakery and most stores. They come in copious amounts of flavors with many different toppings. They will make you full and give you a huge energy boost.
6. Gummy Candy
Pros: | Cons: |
✅ gluten free ✅ fruit flavored snacks ✅ excellent source of vitamin c ✅ liquid filled centers ✅ natural flavors |
❌ highly cost ❌ leaves a slightly sticky trace on the hands |
Gummy Candy is one of the best gaming snacks for those who do not want to get their fingers dirty. This snack is easy to consume while you are focused on your gameplay, and it will not make your hands greasy and sticky.
Regarding my choice of gummy candy, I mostly go for Haribo. It is a well-known brand, and it always has consistent taste and quality. I also have a bag of Black Forest lying around at all times. This candy can be described in three words, soft, chewy, and addicting.
7. Popcorn
Pros: | Cons: |
✅ old fashioned popcorn lover’s popcorn ✅ fresh popcorn made at home ✅ eat popcorn while gaming ✅ make salty or sweet popcorn for gaming and movie nights ✅ fresh popcorn taste better than pre-made |
❌ needs to be made from scratch ❌ leaves a trace on the hands |
Back at it again with salty snacks. Popcorn is a great snack for solo gaming sessions, and I find it to be one of the best snacks for large gaming parties. It is easy to make, and you can make large quantities quite cheaply.
If you decide to make your own popcorn, I would recommend Snappy White Popcorn. This brand has a clear taste, with no off-flavors. All the people who have tried it seem to be satisfied with it, and I am yet to hear someone say something bad about it, both offline or online.
For those who would not like to bother with preparing their own popcorn, I would recommend Smartfood Popcorn. These ready-to-eat popcorn are known for their fresh and distinguished taste, as well as for a variety of different flavors.
8. Chocolate
Pros: | Cons: |
✅ rich with proteins and iron ✅ healthy snack coated with dark chocolate ✅ doesn´t leave a trace on your hands ✅ high quality nuts and delicious dark chocolate ✅ oven roasted dark chocolate snack |
❌ bitter taste ❌ not sweet |
Chocolate is a basic snack, it is easily accessible, and it will provide you with a great energy boost. You can always grab your favorite bar anywhere and not wonder if the quality will be satisfying.
To satisfy my chocolate cravings, I usually go for Hershey’s nuggets. These bite-sized chocolate pieces are a great gaming snack. All variations of it are tasty, and they come with crispy and crunchy almonds. If you are a fan of Hershey’s chocolate, I would definitely encourage you to give this product a try.
9. Nuts
Pros: | Cons: |
✅ High-Protein All-Natural Vegan ✅ edamame is dried and processed to preserve its nutrients ✅ naturally gluten-free ✅ healthy and low in calories ✅ excellent source of protein, fiber, potassium and iron |
❌ highly cost ❌ small package |
Nuts are the holy grail of healthy gaming snacks and snacks overall. They are full of calories and protein, and they will make you feel full rather quickly. They are easy to consume while gaming, and there are many options to choose from.
I prefer having almonds, cashews, and pistachios, but I do not mind having walnuts and peanuts, either.
For all these, I have linked my best picks, so you do not have to worry about getting poor-quality products or paying an unfair price.
