Top 7 Best Champions for Lethal Tempo Rune

Lethal Tempo is a rune in League of Legends that provides a lot of attack speed to the user and allows them to go beyond the attack speed barrier. This is a great way to deal a lot of damage in quick succession since your champion will be attacking quite fast.

Lethal Tempo is best used on champions that like to deal a lot of damage per second (DPS). Since your champion has attacks or abilities that deal a good amount of damage, activating Lethal Tempo will allow you to swiftly deplete the enemy’s health bar.

The best champions for the Lethal Tempo rune in League of Legends are:

  • Bel’Veth
  • Vayne
  • Sivir
  • Twitch
  • Yasuo
  • Draven
  • Ashe

The champions mentioned on this list are the best at using Lethal Tempo, and all of them benefit greatly from the rune. Using this rune will allow you to perform better and deal the most amount of damage quickly. With that said, let’s jump straight in and take a look at why these 7 champions are the best at using the Lethal Tempo rune in League of Legends.

7. Aphelios

Aphelios is a great user of Lethal Tempo. While some players will prefer using Press the Attack or Fleet Footwork on him, going for Lethal Tempo will yield great results. Regardless of which rune you go for, Aphelios will perform effectively thanks to his versatile nature.

However, if you do decide to choose Lethal Tempo, you will have a great time especially while using your lifesteal weapon and your shuriken. Both of these weapons will benefit greatly from the rune and will allow you to easily 1v1 any enemy champion without any worries.

Plus, the rest of your weapons can also benefit a lot, like the flamethrower. Since you also get additional range thanks to the rune, using the flamethrower will feel wonderful. I had to choose between Jinx or Aphelios for this list but since I love this ADC a lot, he made it on the list. Try Lethal Tempo on Aphelios for yourself and see what result you get.

6. Vayne

Picking Lethal Tempo on Vayne is one of the best decisions that you can make when you choose her. Since her W’s passive allows her to deal true damage to the enemy after attacking them three times, going for Lethal Tempo is useful since you can gain additional attack speed.

Having Lethal Tempo will allow you to be more aggressive during the laning phase since the main thing that Vayne lacks during the early game is attack speed. When you engage in combat, you can easily consume your stacks and attack the enemy with your auto attacks.

Plus, once your Guinsoo’s Rageblade is completed, you will deal a lot of damage to the enemy and proc your stacks after every two hits. Combine this with Lethal Tempo and you will attack faster than you can see. On top of that, once all your items are complete, you will easily break the maximum attack speed limit; further enhancing your damage.

5. Sivir

Right now, Sivir is one of the best-performing ADCs, thanks to a few buffs that she got. Since she relies a lot of her auto attacks, choosing Lethal Tempo will allow you to deal tons of damage to the enemy within a few seconds.

Plus, the best part is that you can activate the rune by using your E ability. Since it ricochets your attacks off of minions and hits everyone around them, you can easily activate the rune. Once your ricochet attack hits an enemy champion, you will gain attack speed.

You will have this rune activated during most of the laning phase since your E will almost always hit the enemy champions. Plus, you can even activate it by hitting the enemy with your Q which has a decent range.

4. Twitch

Twitch is an interesting champion that can work well with multiple runes. Whether you choose Press the Attack, Conquerer, Lethal Tempo, or Hail of Blades in AP Twitch’s case, you will have a great time.

He loves to auto-attack and most of his abilities grant him attack speed. Combine this with Lethal Tempo, and you will be over the 2.50 attack speed limit in no time. Your Q ability allows you to become invisible and gain attack speed when you come out of it. Plus, your ultimate gives you additional range, more damage, and a lot of attack speed as well.

If you stack your Lethal Tempo and combine it with your Q and R, you will gain a lot of extra range and deal tons of damage within just a few seconds. I have seen Twitch’s attack speed go even beyond 3.50.

I was considering to put Kog’Maw on this spot but decided to go with Twitch since he doesn’t need the help of his support to make it through the laning phase or deal a lot of damage. Kog’Maw is great but performs to his full potential when he is with a Lulu or a similar support.

3. Yasuo

Yasuo is a mid-lane bully that loves to dash around and deal a lot of damage. Due to his diverse nature, you can choose two or three runes on him, but going for the Lethal Tempo route will be the best.

Once you gain all the stacks and are at full attack speed, you will shred through the enemy’s HP bar. The best part is that this rune works better on melee champions as it gives more attack speed than it would to a ranged champion.

Plus, you gain 50 additional range as well on your auto attacks, making it easier to fight the enemy. Yasuo builds a lot of attack speed items and crit strike items as well. Combine those with this rune, and you’ve got yourself a wonderful combo.

2. Draven

As Draven likes to remind us, “it’s not Draven, it’s Draaaven.” He is one of the coolest and most effective ADCs in the game right now. Thanks to his spinning axes, Draven deals a lot of damage during the laning phase, and he out damages all other ADCs in terms of basic attacks.

Since he relies a lot on his auto attacks, it is only natural that you choose the Lethal Tempo rune for him. When it is fully stacked, Draven will gain additional range which is a welcomed addition. Plus, your attack speed will be quite high. Combine that with your already insane damage and you’ve got yourself a recipe for success.

All other champions will fear you since they will die instantly if they try to fight you. However, make sure that you do not get overly aggressive and try to maintain your position. Regardless of how ahead you are, always ensure that you are picking the correct fights, and making the least amount of mistakes as possible.

1. Ashe

Finally, Ashe is a solid user of Lethal Tempo and she can benefit greatly from it. Thanks to her already good attack speed scaling and itemization, Ashe relies a lot on her auto attacks. Due to this, if you use the Lethal Tempo rune, you can break the attack speed barrier and damage the enemy quickly.

The best part is that Ashe can slow the enemy with each one of her auto attacks. This makes kiting extremely easy and you can even combine this with your Q ability to attack even faster. If done correctly, you will shred through the enemy’s HP bar while they try their best to reach you.

If the enemy does get close to you, use your W to fire a volley of arrows that not only deal damage to them but also slow them even more. Overall, you will deal a lot of damage while the enemy can only hope that they can attack you. Position yourself properly and you will be legendary in no time.
