For those of you who have Lucian as a main, you’re in luck because there are plenty of skins for you to choose when you’re loading into the game. With all those skins available, it may be hard for an ADC main to know which skins they should spend their money on. I’m here to help you out with the Lucian skins and will be ranking them from worst to best, which means as the list goes down, it’s only going to get better…
show
1. Hired Gun Lucian

This is Lucian’s original release skin, and over time, it hasn’t aged well. Sure, it has a couple of good animations, which is nice, but it’s not very polished and is a bit on the clunky side if you ask me. Plus, those ability animations, while I like seeing skins with them, they look worse than they do on his classic skin, so by all means, the Hired Gun Lucian skin is the last skin I would pick.
Pros
- New animations
Cons
- Not a polished kin
- The Abilities aren’t that great.
The cost for this skin is 975 RP.

2. Striker Lucian

The Striker Lucian skin just so happens to be a legacy skin, which means it isn’t always available to grab. Really, it’s not that bad of a skin either. Lucian actually looks pretty cool in soccer attire, which may be surprising to some of you. Looking at Striker Lucian, it’s obvious that Riot put a lot of thought into this skin and made it worth buying.
Pros
- Nice change
- The Clothes have a nice pattern.
Cons
- No new particles
- No new animations
The cost of this skin is 950 RP.
3. Project: Lucian

I always liked the PROJECT skins, so I wouldn’t say I like having to put one of them at such a low ranking, but in this case, it’s something that I have to do. Now, Lucian’s Project skin isn’t like the rest. His animations fit the Project look, and they’re just now as amped up as most of the skins that you get from the Project line. The new animations aren’t even interesting.
Now, the particles do have a neat-looking linear design that creates beams, bolts, dashes, and blasts. Each one of his abilities looks different, but there’s strict design making them a bit on the homogenous design. The Culling isn’t all that impressive and seems to reuse Lightslinger’s effect. As for the sound, they go good with the particles and may be effective, but they’re not exactly as striking as they should be.
Pros
- New particles and new animations
Cons
- The new particles and new animations aren’t as striking as they should be
The cost of this skin is 1350 RP.
4. Heartseeker Lucian

I understand that some of you may not like the Heartseeker Lucian skin, it’s one of the less-beloved skin lines, and I get that, but this skin works really well for me. As a character, Lucian has always come off as being very sophisticated and controlled, which is why I feel this skin fits him.
The Heartseekerskin has a couple of animations, but the animations on Lucian’s abilities aren’t exactly impressive. If this skin had more new animations, I could put this at a higher rank, but unfortunately, it doesn’t, so it’s nesting at number 4 on this list.
Pros
- Heartseeker Lucian fits for the champions.
Cons
- It needs more new animations
The cost of this skin is 1350 RP.
5. High Noon Lucian

This skin could easily be ranked as a number one Lucian skin because it is fantastic, and it has many neat animations. For example, with Lucian’s ultimate channel, he goes full Ghost Rider. The animations on these abilities are gorgeous. The best of all would be his new voice lines and champion interactions, making this skin worth paying for.
As for Lucian, when he wears this skin, he looks as close to a Demonic Outlaw as you’re going to get. We didn’t even know we wanted something like a Demonic Outlaw, but personally, now that I saw it, I just can’t get enough of it. If there’s ever a new sheriff in town, Lucian is it, and I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t want to draw with him.
Pros
- Great looking skin
Cons
- Sound seems muffled
- New particles are simple
The cost of this skin is 1850 RP.

6. Demacia Vice Lucian

The High Noon skin has excellent qualities, but I just can’t bring myself to rank it better than the Demacia Vice Lucian skin because I feel this one is the best. It just looks super cool…not only does it LOOK super cool, but it IS super cool! When Lucian wears this skin, he looks like a mix between Wesley Snipes’s Blade and an 80’s villain. The character looks way cool.
Pros
- New SFX, including spawn in music
- New particles
- New recall animations
Cons
- None
The cost of this skin is 1350 RP.
Conclusion
As you see, Lucian has some skins available, many of them good, but at the same time, I feel that there’s potential there that hasn’t been tapped. As a release skin, the Hired Gun Lucian is pretty good. It doesn’t really reinterpret the Purifier, but it does offer a fresh take that keeps up with Lucian’s essence. His new appearance is attractive, to say the least. If you purchase it, you won’t be disappointed, because it is a good skin.
For those of you who are digging through the haystack trying to find a cheaper alternative, the Striker Lucian would be a good choice. For soccer fans, it’s a good option worth considering.
Project Lucian is okay, but that’s about where it ends. There’s no glowing finish or anything exciting like that. There are useful elements there, but there isn’t enough to justify the expense of it. It’s one of those skins that are left with untapped potential.
Heartseeker Lucian is pretty charming, but it lacks that distinctive feature that sets the skin apart from the rest of the skins.
The Legendary option for you to choose is High Noon Lucian, and it’s as appealing because of the Old West reference contrasted with the demonic influence. However, as neat as it may be, the two themes seem to be detached from one another.
Now that you know about the best skins for Lucian, you can go pick one (or two or three) for the next time you play League of Legends.
