Volibear has the power of lightning, yet this champion still seems to have trouble when it comes to resisting cold. What I do know is that he knows how to dress according to the situations, and he does have a good style with his armor. Go ahead and take a look at his fashion choices with my list of the best Volibear skins – ranked from the worst to the best.

1. Thunder Lord Volibear Skin

The Thunder Lord Volibear skin isn’t a bad choice, but it’s not my favorite choice either. This skin has Volibear wearing armor that is silver and multi-layered, and under this, his fur is brown, just like a bear. Unfortunately, there are no new animations or particles and no new sounds with this skin, which is a bummer because I always hope for new particles. This skin changes the specifics of the champion’s look, but it still keeps the essentials intact. The skin is pretty close to the Classic Volibear’s style.
Pros
- Nice colors
- Significant model change for the champion
Cons
- No new particles
- No new sounds
The price for this skin is 750 RP

2. Northern Storm Volibear

This skin features Volibear with brown fur (of course) and what appears to be warm clothes. Unfortunately, this skin doesn’t have any new particles or new animations…it doesn’t even offer any new sounds. The leg warmer that Volibear’s wearing in this skin looks funny but cool at the same time.
Pros
- Raw originality
Cons
- No new animations, particles, or sound
The price for this skin is 750 RP
3. Runeguard Volibear

With the Runeguard Voliberar, we see this champion dressed as an ursine shaman, and that’s not a disappointment. In fact, nothing about this skin is disappointing. This skin even has a new lightning effect (finally) and new animations for Majestic roar and recall.
However, there are no new sounds, which isn’t all that big of a deal. The fur clothing with armor is etched with a couple of rooms along with a neatly braided beard. The true appeal of this skin is revealed when the player uses Rolling Thunder and Thunder Claws.
When Rolling Thunder is used, his armguards’ runes glow, while Thunder Claws will have his ruined armor completely lighting up – it may be brief, but it makes the skin attractive. Overall, this is a good skin.
Pros
- New particles
- Runes glow
Cons
- No new sound
The price for this skin is 975 RP.
4. Captain Volibear

For those of you who have ever wanted to see Volibear as a high-rank police officer, let me introduce you to Captain Volibear. Unfortunately, there’s no new model for Volibear with this skin, and there are no new particles, animations, or sounds.
This is an appealing costume that is good, as long as you don’t expect more than a change of clothes. When it comes to the gloves, I feel that they wouldn’t help with Volibear’s clawed attacks (wouldn’t you agree?), and biting, in my opinion, just doesn’t sound proper for a police officer of this high rank. However, Captain Volibear is a fun adaptation to law enforcement.
Pros
- Change of clothes
Cons
- No new particles, sounds, or animations
The price for this skin is 750 RP

5. El Rayo Volibear

El Rayo Volibear features Volibear dressed as a luchador. When you put on this skin, you’ll notice the fur on Volibear taking on a new color. The outfit is colorful, and he will be wearing gloves and a mask with that outfit. Nothing is outstanding about the fur, but the color doesn’t let the eyes down. The outfit is a conventional one. The mask itself is good, but it doesn’t really outline Volibear’s bear look.
Pros
- Fur has a new hue
Cons
- No new animations, particles, or color
The price for this skin is 750 RP
Final Word
Volibear’s skins are a bit odd, and there’s not very much to choose from, and I understand the pros and cons aren’t exactly convincing. Northern Storm, Thunder Low, and Captain Volibear are three choices I would go with if I had Volibear as a main, so if you’re a Volibear fan, you might like those choices.
