In the lore of Runeterra, there is a secret that is rarely known. We can frame it in two questions to reveal its mysterious nature and the hints that the Riot Games storytellers left for us. Who is Daisy, the sentinel friend that Ivern calls to fight beside him on Summoner’s Rift? And who is Daisy, the little girl that appears in Annie’s origin video and is supposed to her younger sister?
Well, most will assume that we’re talking about two completely different persons here. And rightfully so because the first Daisy is a stone construct that can fight and the other Daisy is a regular little girl. However, a Reddit post shook these ideas to the core and asked the same questions that we did here. But it also proposed this: what if Ivern’s Daisy is the same Daisy who is also the younger sister of Annie in League of Legends?

Is Ivern’s Daisy the Younger Sister Annie?
Two Daisy, One Character
Well, let’s say that from Annie’s origin video, we can draw out some important conclusions. First off, Annie did, in fact, have a younger sister Daisy, that she used to play with as a child. Next, they were both in disagreement regarding Tibbers. In short, Annie loved her doll dearly while Daisy thought it worthless. And lastly, we can clearly see the way Daisy dies. She chases off a fairy butterfly creature way too far, slips on a rock, and falls into the river. After this, we have only speculation.
The Reddit post claims that Daisy’s soul left her body after she died and got transferred into the stone golem called Daisy. And later on, Ivern would found Daisy, the (somewhat) intelligent stone golem that became his companion for a long time.
But, the discussion on Reddit gave other ideas too. What if Ivern found Daisy’s dead body (the little girl) and felt sad for her, so he immortalized her into the stone golem, thus the same name? Or what if Ivern found Daisy the stone golem first and then used the little girl’s soul to empower her? Anyhow, the moves around on the same principles: Annie’s younger sister Daisy is the same Daisy that accompanies Ivern in League of Legends!
And this proposition wouldn’t sound too crazy if we examine Ivern’s lore for just a bit!

Ivern and Daisy
If we take a closer look into Ivern, there is almost no doubt that he did meddle with Daisy, the dead sister of Annie. Here is what the official lore provided by Riot Games says about him!
In one instance, he found a wounded stone-golem. Knowing the poor creature was on the verge of death, he fashioned her a new heart from a river pebble. Adhering to the tradition of all mineral beings, the golem became Ivern’s devoted life-friend. He named her Daisy, after the flowers that mysteriously sprouted from her stone body. Today, if Ivern is threatened, she races to his side.
If we read to the detail, it says that Ivern “fashioned her (Daisy, the stone golem) a new heart from a river pebble.” Remember, Daisy, the little girl died by drowning in the river after slipping on a big rock/pebble. So, is it just possible that the “pebble” Ivern used for this is Daisy’s soul or any part of her, for that matter?
Unfortunately, the evidence of this speculation doesn’t go further. However, there are many similarities between Ivern’s Daisy and Annie’s Tibbers, which might also hint at the possibility of this theory being true.
Shortly, Annie and Ivern are the only champions in League of Legends with pets like Tibbers and Daisy. We know that Annie’s sister wanted Tibbers, although not for the same reasons as her. So Ivern gave her a Tibbers-like existence in the end! Again, these are only speculation on hints we can clearly see!
Final Words
No one knows if Ivern’s Daisy is Annie’s younger sister in League of Legends. The original Reddit post had some interesting points and the people that contributed to the general discussion too. We, personally, had tons of fun examining this theory and find it quite likely that it is true.
However, video game storylines and lore can change dramatically overnight, depending on what the developers intend for the game. That said, it is also quite likely that Riot may invent an entirely new origin for both Daisy, the stone golem, and Daisy, the younger sister of Annie. And for now, we can only wonder.
