Having a comfortable camera view on your LoL match will drastically improve your gaming skills. Some players enjoy playing League of Legends with a locked camera, and some enjoy playing it with an unlocked camera. While many pro players prefer unlocked cameras for a better view, that doesn’t mean that you have to play with an unlocked camera.
The thing that separates the average players from pro players is their camera view.
You can’t climb up the ranks in League if you play with a locked camera. The locked camera view limits your point of view on the match and makes you miss a lot of opportunities. Even if your position is on Mid or Top, it’s good sometimes to check how your bot lane is doing.
However, playing with an unlocked camera isn’t that easy. It’s good to have a lot of focus on your champion and what’s happening around you. But, an unlocked camera will definitely make your matches better.
Whenever you feel lost with an unlocked camera, all you have to do is press SPACE on your keyboard so you can go back to focusing on your champion.

How to Unlock The Camera in LoL?
Changing the camera view in League of Legends is pretty easy. One thing you can do is to press Y or Z on your keyboard so you can toggle, unlocking, or locking your camera view. If you don’t like this key, you can always change it to another key in-game setting.
Another thing you can do is click the “camera” icon on the bottom of your screen next to the mini-map.
What To Do When Your Camera Locks and Can’t be Unlocked?
Sometimes your camera can lock and can’t be unlocked or the other way around. You can try to restart the game or reinstall it, but the problem will still be there. This happens to most players, which is really annoying, especially when you are in a team fight.
If this ever occurs to you, click and hold the cursor anywhere on the mini-map and move around a bit. This seems to work for many players, but Riot should seriously consider fixing it.
You should probably experiment with how you want to view your game. Try with locked and unlocked and see what fits you best. It would be best if you considered setting up a higher or lower DPI when you play with an unlocked camera view.
