When it comes to memes, League of Legends probably has the most active meme community. League players usually create memes to make fun of Riot’s developers or popular streamers. Since everyone loves memes, we’ve decided to start a weekly series in which we will be posting funny League memes.
When did people start making League of Legends memes?
League of Legends was released in 2009, and the memes followed. People started making League of Legends memes a couple of months after the game was released. However, there weren’t many meme fan pages back then, so people mostly shared their memes on gaming forums; one of the most popular League forums was EloHell. I remember that me and my friends used to be very active members of that forum. Those were truly the good days. Back then, you didn’t have many meme-making apps or websites, so we were creating memes using the good old Paint app on our Windows 7.
